Hi Folks

Here you wanted to know .

Yes you who have been what a super country unspoiet clean England is rubbish i tell you .

Croatia has every thing pretty Alpine areas mountains bears wolfs fish snakes bauty 1800 iselands

never saw a mc donalds or M/S OR BIG SHOPS i bet they where there somewhere .

Food freash and so nice and loacl

Well we went with Saga we where the youngest but we went for insurance and other good bits they do every one else well over 60 plus on trip

one fell over and needed 9 stiches but she was sorted so loveley by locals and Saga later a few caught a bug going round they where sorted then one fell and needed an x ray that was delt with .I enjoyed the oldies once got too know them .But wanted to go home when i saw who we where travel ing with . But when with group that suited the R.A but found if on a trip with guide i /we could pop off and catch up .aND MAYBE in free time we could see more .The pace of things suited us .

Saga really go to town on your birthday and our wedding Av which was 25 years .

We where very well looked after as Saga insist infact if you have a area where you eat thats just for the group and means extra and no one else is allowed .We where fully inculeise we had our own coffee wine area

Thats saga will do again even if i am the youngist or rep knew every thing .

Have been to Kaka waterfalls the famos lakes Rab cres krk up an vilage on top of moutain with the oldies and a loacal who drove the bus along a fire track Sue will know what i am talking about .He knows what he is doing driveing and knows the turning places as the road was not fit for a bus .

infact been loads of places

swam in a salt water pool and went in the well ness centre

weather cold when got there as there was a bura /jura blowing then we had warm weather

the trip before had bad weather and Croatia like us have had dreadfull weather .But everything was so green do to rain .And waterfalls extra good .

one trip went wrong ha ha very sunny warm all going on a boat rep said take warm clothes and rain wear just in case as it can be windy on boat

any way been on boat 3 mins and a jura started blowing and whiped the sea up the rep caught the cold going about so we had a giude the bridge got stuck we took ages to get to the iseland as driving over the waves .We had a quick run around had too get back on boat as it clalmed
but more Jura was coming .So they said they would sail us round to vali losji but the bridge was stuck but i thought ohh hello here comes the moans but people just laughed .

anyway i loved it .Went out nudeie waching and snake spotting .

well enjoyed our selfs .
Can say saga lived up to the what we where told as we had a holiday go wrong last year so why some (old ) friends said book with them you are over 50 .But i would use again and tell people to use them .

Christine, thanks for posting this, it sounds like a fabulous trip. I haven't been away for a couple of years mailny because of the RA and wouldn't have dreamt of going with Saga as I'm only 55 and imagined Saga holidays as full of moaning, grumpy 80 year olds. Thanks for giving the other side of the view, as you say its a slower pace which would suit me, and by the sound of it they dealt with mishaps well, so you never know I might look at it again now.
Thanks again and glad the holiday was great.
PS I don't iron either - but I have to admit that my other half irons some things especially as I bought him a new iron for valentines day!
Best wishes
Sheila

I'm glad you didn't offer to do the washing for the others, Chrissie.

So glad you had a great holiday. You deserve it.

Lots of love

HI the insureance is very good plus the holiday .And hotel . First of all they will insure seconley if you are with older people you will find they are in a holiday mood and things like walking and getting on bus/s and having a stick .Well you are the same as them .I got a long with all of them and had fun as they laughed maybe a good group try it .I found them as good as travel sear but quite liked the older people .Rep seemed to be well trained and said the oldies always get along and she liked the older group the reps are over 50 .

my hubby is just 50 but after last years disaster with insureance he wanted to go with saga redardless of being the youngist .

try them as i thought good for vaule money etc and misaps and seeing to a rude person on desk .Sorting a promlem with the room promt .

yes i was impressed . single lady said she did not pay supperment

Good to hear you had a lovely time Chrissie. My dear old dad was from Croatia: we've decided to spend some of the money he left us on a couple of trips there to remember him by.

I was a bit doubtful about SAGA too- but it sound just the thing I need these days.

Love

Maria
